    WHAT:
Death Valley & Las Vegas Weekend
    WHEN: March 21-24, 2019

    March 21 / CARAVAN MEET-UP:
    Krispy Kreme Doughnuts
    4485 Mills Circle
    Ontario Mills
    Departure Time: 9:00 a.m.

    JUST ADDED!
     — We’ll be taking a tour of the fascinating Amargosa Opera House at Death Valley Junction. Behind these doors is nothing short of amazing!

DETAILS: There is not going to be an AMVIV this year, but that doesn’t mean the MINI Maniacs can’t party in Vegas. Join us for this three-nighter that begins with a visit to Death Valley National Park. You’ll walk on the lowest point in North America, Badwater Basin, with an elevation of 282 feet below sea level; marvel at views from Sombreski Point, then guide your MINI through the narrow passage of Artist Drive before overnighting at Stovepipe Wells.

PLEASE RSVP IN THIS THREAD AND MAKE SURE YOUR NAME APPEARS ON THE GUEST LIST BELOW.

The next day we’ll leave the majestic beauty of Death Valley for the glittering lights of Las Vegas where we will spend two nights at the Silverton Casino Hotel. On our way to Las Vegas we’ll tour the famous Amargosa Opera House and then lunch (SOLD OUT) at the Pahrump Valley Winery.

NOTE: If you missed the group lunch option, you can still go to the winery for lunch, but you will be seated in the restaurant and order from the regular menu.

Rooms in Death Valley sell out, so you’re encouraged to book at Stovepipe Wells as soon as possible. You can always cancel later if your plans change.

This sounds like great fun! Am booked at Stovepipe Wells Hotel and Silverton. Don’t know where on the the Silverton property this is, but they have a new adjacent 18-story tower of suites called the Berkley. One bedroom, kitchen, two TVs, washer/dryer, and more for $149/night ($164 average/night for a regular room for two nights). https://silvertoncasino.com/stay/berkley-las-vegas/ I’m in.

This looks like fun.  Either stay in Death Valley or in Pahrump – Las Vegas is a long way.

Oh I see said the blind man – 3-21 in Death Valley and 3-22 and 23 at Silverton – that will work.

I don’t think we’ll be able to do the Death Valley leg, but we’ll meet you in Las Vegas (or possibly Pahrump if that’s how you’re driving in on Friday).

Pahrump Valley Winery looks great. I’m talking to them now about setting up a group lunch for us. I will email details to everyone who has signed up for the trip.
