Hi there,
My son and I experimented with defogging my 2009 Mini’s headlights. The results were.. well.. a fun experiment. However we noticed that the attachment and adjustment bolt through the bottom outside tab seemed to be stripped in some manner. It seems the mounting bracket on the frame may consist of a metal bolt in a plastic part and it may be spinning freely (but invisibly inside of the bracket). The bracket is easy enough to remove as far as I can tell, but I can’t figure out the part number to buy a new one. I’ve reached out to Pelican but they weren’t much help.
I’m looking for the part number of this bracket. Not the tab attached to the headlight housing but the bracket attached to the frame that the tab connects to.
The attached picture shows the part I am interested in. Please ignore my poor murderlized headlight. Just be assured it looked worse when I started.
Mike
