Veteran SCMM member and true MINI Maniac, Ted Lighthizer, passed away suddenly on December 15, 2020, at the age of 73. Although Ted had not been in good health for some time, his passing was unexpected. It was not coronavirus related.
Ted loved cars, motorsports and photography. His declining health made it difficult to film motorsports events that he enjoyed so much. Ted was also totally a TRUE BLUE DODGER fan.
Ted and his life partner Doreen were active in the Porsche Club of America’s Santa Barbara Chapter.
Ted leaves behind three sons and five grandchildren who live in Sacramento, Portland and Phoenix. Doreen asks that you remember Ted with a donation to your favorite charity.
